The Fast and Furious franchise has been around since 2001. It started as a normal street racing movie which has now evolved into this over the top action movie, each time you watch them you go wanted what wild things they're going to try and pull of. Will this one be as crazy as the others? Let's find out this this is the A. C. E. Review of Fast X.
Review:
The movie starts out with like it has been emphasizing on for forever now, family. Some may call it corny, but I think every movie needs to have a core basis or premise, so to me I don't see a big problem. The things I did have a problem with was the acting at times it can be very cheesy and down right bad from a lot of the characters. Vin Diesel will always take the cake but none more so then from John Cena. He really changed his personality from the last movie, it was a nice change of pace to see him have some seriousness to him for a change, but in this movie he's back to his weird goofy self. I get that some people may find him charismatic but to I don't. The other characters acting could really been tone down especially the new main villain Dante Reyes played by Jason Momoa he was really channeling his inner Joker in this movie but it was different but somehow still rounded the movie well because when you go to see these movie you're expecting everything from corny one liners, basic to bad acting with crazy over the top action and for some strange reason, it pulls off to still be entertaining. We all know that it's bad but we also find a way to put that aside, and I think that's why these movie will always be entertaining, do I think it should end, yes will they eventually, yes but until then I'll watch them and keep laugh along the way.
The original Disney version of the Little Mermaid was an all time classic. From the animation, acting and of course the singing. Nowadays this generation probably never seen the original, and with Disney always trying to make money they have gone and made a new live action version of the cult classic. Is it as good or better as the original? Let's find out, this is the A. C. E. Review of The Little Mermaid.
Story:
The story is still the same with Ariel one the youngest daughters of King Triton. She's a curious girl who has dreams of going to the surface and exploring that world even though it is forbidden by King. Being headstrong and stubborn and in love with a human man Prince Eric, she disobeys her father and strike a deal with Ursula, who is a she witch. Ursula transform Ariel into a human in hopes to marry Eric.
Overall:
This new version was pretty good mainly because it wasn't an exact copy of the original. They did have some of the important original songs but to me, it didn't have that same type of feeling to it as the original songs did but because the added other songs and scenes it gave it a better feeling other than like a carbon copy. Also given the other side like Flounder and Scuttle characters more dialogue was a nice touch as well but Sabastian the actor who played him had a really bad Jamaican accent. Which was shocking because in the Hamilton movie Daveed Diggs did a pretty believable one. The only song I didn't agree with was Prince Eric song, the lyrics were good but the actor who played Eric wasn't a good singer which kill the vibe of the song for me. I enjoyed the cameo from Jodi Benson as well who was the actress who played Ariel original. Overall I enjoyed it they did a good job or maintaining the original story and classic songs but still making feel like a different story as well which is what you wanna see in a classic animated Disney movie.
Introduction:The first Black Panther movie was a box office hit breaking records and in my opinion, changed how movie execs see black consumers. It also gave black people a superhero we could all be proud of and a world that we can immerse ourselves. This is important when it comes to big-budget movies or movies in general because at the time we didn't have much different representation outside of hood and slavery movies. I loved the movie for these reasons but the only thing I didn't enjoy was the story. So when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was coming out I thought about waiting for it to arrive on streaming services and enjoying it in the comfort of my own home but that was before I heard more information on the story and trailer. I've learned to not make ly on that but on the idea of the story and trailer scenes and wanting to support my people, I decided to go. So with that being said, this is the A. C. E. Review of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.Review:Right from the beginning of the movie it goes right into what happened to the King T'Challa. He loses his life from an illness and because his sister Shuri was not able to save her brother, it changes her. Then as Shuri and her mother and others grieve for the loss, they meet an underwater ruler Namor who offers them two choices both choices puts them in a compromising position which leads to war. The sounds are great and enjoyable especially if you enjoy African culture, now when it comes to the visuals it was up and down. At times it was beautiful but there were times when they drop the ball especially when they showed Namor's Kingdom. The action was good across the board but in my opinion, the thing that made this movie great is its acting. Letitia Wright and Tenoch Huerta were great but Angela Bassett was phenomenal. Conclusion:Overall this movie was great to me it had a great pace with good action and acting all the while telling an important story about loss, family, and the importance of unity. If you loved the first movie then you will like this one. It's a bittersweet feeling to not have T'Challa in the Black Panther movies but they might have a plan in place to bring him back only time will tell. I was never a fan of the casting and look of Namor but I now understand why they went with that. I'm happy that the Latin people can now have a character to be proud of.Positives:+ Story + Acting + Pacing + Action + Characters Negatives:- Visuals - T'Challa - Not Comic Accurate
Michelle Yeoh has had a wonderful career and I like many of her movies, so when I saw the trailer for Everything Everywhere All At Once I was excited because I knew the acting and action would be great but it was because of the story as well. Time travel movies are always fun and interesting to me. Let's see if this should be another great one to remember or forget forever, this is the A. C. E. Movie Review of Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Story:
The story goes when an interdimensional rupture unravels reality, an unlikely hero must channel her newfound powers to fight bizarre and bewildering dangers from the multiverse as the fate of the world hangs in the balance. This story gave me The Matrix vibes at times mixed with What Dreams May Come and The One but it had a unique mix of different genres.
Graphics & Sound:
The sound was good, and the special effects were very minimal but the look of the movie is another reason why it gave me The Matrix feels. The sound was very minimal as well this wasn't a movie where these things were a big focus.
Acting:
The acting was where this movie's main focus was, it had a great cast. Everyone stood out and felt like the characters fit and gave a uniqueness to them. My favorite was Evelyn played by Michelle Yeon but I enjoyed the whole cast even Jamie Lee Curtis who was great to me too. I am glad to see her getting back into movies again. It had a great blend of action, comedy, sci-fi, and drama.
Conclusion:
Overall this movie is a movie not many may know and might miss but if you have the time to go to see it whether it be in the movie theater or on a streaming service, please take the time to watch it. It has great life lessons, action, comedy, and more. I enjoyed the journey I was on, it made me laugh, feel sad, and happy. I love EVERYTHING about it, it took me EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE and I recommend it so it could maybe do the same for you too.
The PlayStation video game series Uncharted has always been a great video game series, packed with outstanding gameplay, graphics, and acting. So of course, when there was talk about them making it into a movie, I got nervous thinking that they would mess it up completely and ruin its legacy but when the cast was released I got hopeful that it would be a decent movie. Let's see if I was right or wrong, this is the A. C. E. Movie Review of Uncharted.
Story:
The story in the video games was always simple about a group of treasure hunters and you play as the main character, Nathan Drake. Now in the movie version, I must say they stuck close to the simple story all while using a mixture of the first three games which isn't a bad idea because there were a lot of cool action events from the first three. The most notable one is from the third one with the cargo plane, it's not 100% accurate but that's to be expected. Honestly, all of the games were outstanding but as I said the story for the movie was pretty good and didn't deviate too much.
Graphics & Sound:
The look of the movie was great the characters did resemble the characters from the video games at least when it came to their outfits, the sound wasn't bad either no complaints there.
Acting:
When it comes to the acting, I felt this is where the movie shined. The playful banter between Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg was great, you can feel the growing friendship between the two. Although in the video game Mark's Character Sully knew Nathan since he was a young kid. But the supporting characters such as Sophia Taylor Ali as Chloe Frazier, Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, and Antonio Banderas as Santiago Moncada all were good with Chloe most likely going to return for the sequel and of course Sully's iconic mustache.
Conclusion:
Overall this was entertaining to me, it had good acting from the two main leads and supporting cast, decent action, and a small nod to the guy who played Nathan Drake in the video game the great Nolan North. I would recommend this movie to people who are a fan of the video games, people who enjoy the actors, or to people who enjoy a good action-adventure movie.
A. C. E. Here with the review for the animated movie Justice League Dark. Right from the beginning of the movie it lives up to the title DARK the look and feel set up how the movie will be. I wouldn't really recommend it to kids because within the movies there is some cursing but more importantly very adult theme jokes although it might be ok because it could go over kids heads and may not pay it any mind. I would say it's OK for preteens and up. They also did an excellent job on introducing the characters but I feel that all of the characters shined even Etrigan which for years has always been kinda of a joke character just because he speaks in rhymes but John Constantine was the stand out hands down. I felt that they did a great job added to what DC had with the Constantine television show. At times I felt that batman and John are very similar because they both care about the people around them but show it in very different ways. It showed off characters outside the normal Justice League who the world knows very well but I always like the diversity in DC characters really wanted to see some of the characters in there own movies someday such as Etrigan and Swamp Thing but overall this was a great movie this was a very good improvement from the last Warner Bros and Jay Oliva movie (Batman: Bad Blood)......Hopefully there live action movies will be as good as there animated movies one day we can only hope

The 1960s were quite a revolutionary time in American history. Civil Rights, music, and fashion all went through drastic changes during this memorable decade. However, perhaps what’s most memorable about the 60s is the Space Race between the United States and Russia. Hidden Figures dives deep into NASA’s inner workings, exposing the means and methods of the well-known organization during this tense and momentous time. The title “Hidden Figures” has a dual meaning. How exactly did the United States manage to send a man into space? Furthermore, doing so without all of the advanced technology that we have today. Needless to say, numerous calculations were done and redone, but who were the individuals performing these calculations? Herein lies the dual meaning of the film’s title – the hidden calculations performed by the hidden individuals who didn’t receive any recognition in the history books; i.e. the hidden “figures” performed by the hidden “figures.”
A computer had a much different meaning back then: it was an individual who computed, repeatedly performing numerous in-depth calculations and submitting the results to be published in reports. “Computer” was a job title. Who were these computers? They were several intelligent and gifted African American women, who submitted their calculations to the upper white-filled offices of NASA. The film brilliantly captures the hardships these women faced. The film is just as much about the segregation in Virginia, which the state still enacted at that time, as it is about the science behind sending a man into space. You will feel their frustration and praise their many accomplishments, as they overcome obstacle after obstacle. The triumph of the country is cohesive with the intimate triumphs of these empowering women, as the film paces both aspects of the story in perfect harmony. The performances by Taraji Hension, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae are nothing short of inspiring, while remaining authentic in their deliveries as expressed through the playful banter between the three women. Kevin Costner also delivers a solid performance as the lead manager for NASA’s expansive group.
Hidden Figures is an absolute must-see. Beyond its teachings and practicalities is a heart-warming story of love, friendship, and family. We may not all understand the complex mathematics, but we all can understand and appreciate the importance of the personal and technical achievements so openly displayed throughout the film.
